I’m going to be honest, before listening to his mixtape I didn’t know much about Bronx native, Jae Tips. I knew he had a beard, cool clothes and sold shoes but after listening to Vol 10. -I get the hype.

Dude is talented.

Following HypeBeast 3, Jae Tips follows up with his mixtape Vol. 10 and fans will not be disappointed.

The first song, Into the Fire starts in the middle of a sermon with the line “I want to give to you the significance of the number 10 in the Bible.”  Reminiscent of a Stalley type of cadence, Jae Tips flows over a gospel beat produced by Dizzy Banko. Jae Tips goes all the way in with full enthusiasm rapping about girls, his lifestyle and a warning to the competition “I aint going nowhere”.

The rest of the mixtape includes some Latin influences with “50 Percent”, produced by Dizzy Banko,  some 90s flare with “1995 Interlude” produced by Lucciwazhere, and my personal favorite “Church” Feat Kadeem King, produced by DizzyBanko . Jae Tips Vol. 10 brings diverse tracks for all listeners to a point where you are able to listen on repeat. His charisma and catchy one liners like “Never feed your demons, why? They be stronger” or “I believe in God, hope he believe in me.” make for infectious and entertaining artistry with Vol. 10.
