Mike Epps and Kat Williams are set to star in the urban comedy The House Next Door, sequel to Meet the Blacks released last year. This time around the film will be a spoof of Fright Night released in 2011, just as Meet the Blacks was a spoof of The Purge.
We haven’t seen these comedic giants together since the Cubevision production, Friday After Next in 2002.
The film is directed by Deon Taylor, Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith. Mike Epps, and Kat Williams are set to have producer credits on this project as well.
Producer Deon Taylor stated, “Mike and Katt are so comedically explosive together. I don’t know how we’re going to keep it together on set with these two at the top of their game. Audiences responded well to Meet the Blacks so we’re happy to give them another dose of dysfunction with, The House Next Door.”
Original cast members returning for the sequel include Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, social media star Andrew Bachelor (aka King Bach), and comedians Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner. Filming starts next week in Atlanta, GA.
