Teyona Taylor has come a long way from her MTV My Super Sweet 16 debut in 2006. She is all grown up now, and not afraid to show it! The Harlem native, wife, and snatched mother has built international status with this cover of GQ South Africa.
Ms. Taylor’s decade long career is a mirror of the modern day renaissance woman. Acting in such films as Stomp the Yard: Homecoming, and Madea’s Big Happy Family. As a part of the fashion industry, she has graced many runways, and signed a major deal with Adidas to design sneakers. As a music artist she’s gone from Pharrell’s Star Trak Entertainment label, to independent, and now signed to a joint venture with GOOD Music. Her first credit as a dancer goes to choreographing Beyonce’s “Ring the Alarm” routine at the young age of 16. And you can’t mention Teyana Taylor without mentioning her more than stellar performance in Kanye West’s music video “Fade”.
The WEEN Mission Award recipient has not only achieved a successful career, but a successful home life. She is now married to Iman Shumpert. They have been named GQ’s sexiest couple earlier this year. It is also said that she will star in the sequel, Set it Off 2.
