Happy Earth Strong to one of the best visionaries in our lifetime, Mr. West.
The loud mouth, outspoken, and often misunderstood man named Kanye Omari West turns 40 today (June 8). Kanye often receives backlash for his “no holds bars” persona; however, if you’re a fan, you know the intentions are always valuable.
As a man of many talents West began his career in the mid-90s producing records for local Chicago artists. His roster soon began to grow as he started collaborating with artist like Foxy Brown, Nas, Jermaine Dupri and Jay Z. Things took off as him and Hov’s relationship grew closer, which earned him a Roc-A-Fella chain in the early 2000s. Once taken serious for his rhyming skills, Kanye recorded his debut album The College Dropout in 2004 while recovering from a tragic car accident that nearly cost his life. That era sparked a pivotal change in his life that still sticks to this day.
Fast forward to today; Kanye is married to reality star Kim Kardashian. Together they share two beautiful children. He’s a fashion designer and a Grammy award-winning musical genius. Although his portrayal in the media seems a bit shaky, his talents trump all negativity.
