Seems like blessings keep falling in his lap.

Today (June 6) BET revealed they will be honoring Chance The Rapper with the Humanitarian Award presented by Walmart at the 2017 BET Awards.

When it comes to wins, Chance is no stranger to that verb. Without a label behind him, Chance set the bar for independent artists and even won three Grammy’s for his album Coloring Book. However, there’s more to the Chicago native behind the music. The social activist is always giving back  to his community heavily. This year he donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools to contribute to the lack of government funding. Chano also partnered with President Obama in mission to mentor young black males for the governments My Brother’s Keeper Challenge.

Chance The Rapper is constantly promoting good vibes and challenging his peers to do so as well. Still, at the peak of his career, he is well deserving of this award for his ongoing philanthropy. The 2017 BET Awards hosted by Leslie Jones will air June 25 at 8 p.m./5 p.m. EST./PST. on BET.
