Remember back in May, when the shooting at T.I’s concert, which was held at Irving Plaza took place and Troy Ave was the intended target but it also left one dead and a few concert-goers injured? Well, it has been recently revealed that Taxstone, a well-known podcast host, was the man behind the shooting. This past Monday, Taxstone, whose real name is Daryl Campbell, was arrested after his DNA was found on the gun that used during the shooting. Taxstone was also charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and receiving a firearm by interstate commerce.
It is no secret that Taxstone and Troy Ave have been feuding with each other dating back to 2015, and they was in a recent feud days before the shooting occurred. Taxstone was held on $500,000 bail and ordered to be on house arrest only being granted permission to leave to work on his podcast; Tax Season. That has since been changed and he is currently behind bars. As reported by Rolling Stone Magazine, “Prosecutors argued that Campbell should be detained because he was a flight risk and a danger to his community. They also alleged that he was a member of a “dangerous gang” and noted his prior arrests and two felony convictions”.
The question remains: How long will Taxstone remain in jail? This is an ongoing case.
